This study aimes to identify the relative efficiency of academic departments in the College of Education, Sultan Qaboos University, useing DEA and reaching the requsted improvement to raise the efficiency. To achieve the objectives of the study that had applied to the academic departments of the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University, the researcher collected data on a range of inputs and outputs of these sections according to their functions: education, scientific research and community service. Then, the researcher used DEA data to calculate the relative efficiency of the departments and the requirements of optimization through data entry to software DEAXI. Eventually, it's study indicated that the relative efficiency of the academic departments the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University was generally high on the side of education, low generally in the aspects of scientific research and community service and very efficient is Department of Physical Education. Moreover the requirements of improving the relative efficiency of the academic departments in College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University and regarding to scientific research we need to increase the number of published research at approximate rate percentage from 18% to 481 %, and at the community service requirements to improve the relative efficiency of the academic departments College of Education Sultan Qaboos University we need to increase the number of community service activities that ranging between 107 % and 800 %> Finally, according to above results, the study conclude with virtual some suggestions to improve the efficiency of the departments.
