This study aimed to identify the impact of small- sided games by build the pyramid in the development of the ball possession style soccer.
The study experimental method used to design experimental and control groups (measurement before and after ) were distributed randomly Statistics by lottery; the sample consisted of (30) Player of Sohar junior soccer club category born 2000/2001 and enrolled Omani Football Federation season 2014 / 2015, it was the application of the proposed program for 12 weeks, where the experimental group applied the method of construction of the pyramid of the ball and the control group direct way to play. The study dealt with a variable proportion of the ball in terms of time and in terms of the number of successful passes, the average was analyzing three games between the two groups for both pre and post two measurements using Dartfish program (FSH), and extracted the results through statistical packages (SPSS).
The results showed no statistically significant differences between the measurement pre and post experimental group in favor of telemetric by improvement (8%) in possession of the ball in terms of time and rate of improvement (38%) in possession of the ball in terms of the number of successful passes. The results also showed the existence of differences statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in the dimensional measurement for the experimental group difference (28%) in possession of the ball in terms of time and margin (38%) in possession of the ball in terms of the number of successful passes.
The study found the impact of small- sided games in a way to build the pyramid in the development of the bal Possession style a positive impact, and improving the skill of the slider, and the reduction of the acquisition of the opposing team the ball, and improvement of the pressure in the style of defense.
