This study aimed at identifying to what extent teachers of Arabic language in Batinah region in the Sultanate of Oman practice the skill of verbal class questioning in the light of gender, educational experience variables. This study tries to answer these questions: To what extent do teachers of Arabic in Grade 8 practice the skill of asking verbal class questions during class interaction? At what level of intellectual and knowledge levels asking verbal class questions is used widely by teachers of Arabic language? Are there statistical significant differences in asking verbal class questions according to gender variable? Are there statistical significant differences in asking verbal class questions according to educational experience? The study sample contained 60 male and female teachers in basic education cycle two in Batinah North schools divided equally into both genders who have been selected randomly. Their practicing of asking class questions skill was observed using observation sheets which outcome in its final picture in three main skills, spelt into 42 subskills. The validity of these skills was verified buy juries. Its stability was verified with CABA Equation for attaining observers' agreement. The study used SPSS programme to treat the data, where Averages, standard deviations were calculated to answer Question One and Two, T-Test to answer Question three, whereas One factor - analysis of variance was used to answer Question four. The study results mainly in : 1. The performance of the teachers in asking the three main verbal class questions ( question forming, question addressing , receiving students responses) was average, the same was true for their performance in the sub skills of the mentioned main skills. 2. The teachers' questions focus mainly on the lower cognitive levels ( recall and comprehension), whereas focus less on the higher cognitive levels. 3. There are statistical significant differences between male and female teachers' practice related to gender in favour for females. 4. There are no statistical significant differences among them related to educational experience. In the light of the results, this study gives some recommendations such as: enabling the teachers in universities and college of educations and educational institutes to acquire teaching skills, in the top of the skills comes the skill of asking verbal class questions because all other skills and teaching methods rely on it, concentrating on the applicational side of teaching training , micro teaching . In addition to that, doing similar studies on other educational levels as well as another study on how teachers of Arabic language utilize students' verbal questions.
