This study discusses The Grammatical Dependency in The Quranic Text ( coherence and cohesion ) within the Text Science framework, taking Suratul Anaam as an example.
The thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion . It answers, in detail , some questions related to the subject matter , pointing out that the Holy Quran must be treated as a coherent text, not as isolated separate parts.
The first chapter deals with the concept of text in the view of ancient Arab Scholars, and the Scholars of Modern Linguistics, explaining some terms related to the subject.
The second chapter discusses the criteria of text as defined by the Text Science Methodology , trying to apply them to the text under discussion (Suratul Anaam ), and to show to what extent they operate , and to what extent they are realized and perceived .
The third chapter tries to prove the fact that the text of the Holy Quran is so coherent in the syntactic , lexical , and semantic levels, dealing with that in some details .
In the conclusion the study presents the results that come from the discussion in the three chapters .
