الملخص الإنجليزي
This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a training program, using some learning strategies, on the development of perceived self- efficacy beliefs of a sample basic education students (cyclel) at 4th grade in Muscat Governorate. To achieve the study objective, semiexperimental approach was used, as it suites the study demands and hypothesis, through applying perceived self-efficacy beliefs a scale by (Schwarzer & Jerusalem, 1989), arabicization (Jabour, 2002). This is to measure the development occurred in the perceived self- efficacy beliefs. Also, a training program based on learning strategies prepared by the researcher was used on asample of (65) boys and girls students distributed randomly in to two groups: experimental one which consisted of (33) boys and girls students, and controlled which consisted of (32) boys and girls students. Equivalence between the two groups has been made according to intelligence and pre- test. The training program validity was assured through referees. The training program consisted of (13) training sessions including two sessions weekly and the whole training lasted one month and a half. The reliability of the scale has been calculated using two methods: re- application and (cronbach's- alpha); and one- way ANOVA, Multivariate Analysis of Variance, Covariates, and Repeated Measures all have been used to measure differences between pre, post and follow-up scores of the two groups. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the perceived self- efficacy beliefs level between the experimental and controlled groups in the post- test in favor of the experimental group. There were also statistically significant differences in the experimental group between the three measurements averages (pre, post and follow- up) in the perceived self- efficacy beliefs level in favor of follow- up. Among the recommend ations that have been for mulated proposed work to train the first episode parameters on how to use learning strategies and their role in improving the perceived self- efficacy beliefs program. What proposals conducting asimilar study on the second episode of the row of students (5-9).
