This study aimed to investigate science teacher practice with respect to the development the creative thinking skills and its reflections on students portfolios. The sample of study consisted of (20) science teachers( (10) males and (10) females) from four Basic Education schools in Al-Dakhliah Region. The researcher designed an observation card that consisted of (25) items which reflects different aspects of creative thinking. The reliability of the observation card was (0.89) according to Kendall coefficient. The researcher chose 60 student portfolio, three portfolios from each teacher. Each portfolio was analyzed and given a score for the fluency, flexibility and originality of its content. The results indicated that the science teachers mean score in the observation card was (1.72), which was considered as an medium score. Female teacher scored significally higher than male teachers in the observation card. However, there were mean no significant differences between experienced and non experienced teachers practice with respect to the development of creative thinking skills. The analysis of students portfolios revealed that the practice of science teachers with respected to the development of creative thinking skills enhanced the flexibility and originality of the content of the portfolios. However, there was no effect with respect to the fluency aspect of the portfolios. Based upon these results, the study recommends that science teachers should use a variety of teaching methods and practices in order to enhance the creativity of their students, which is consequently reflected on their portfolios.
