This study aims at acquainting the level of private schools principals in achieving and commitment of the administrative level and its relation of teachers. The study follows the descriptive curriculum using questionnaire in all information and was applied practically on samples of 500 male and female teachers. The study deduced a variety of results, the most important of these was that the administrative empowerment of the principals of private schools in Muscat was moderate, also it was at average degree in each dimension separately, and was in the first rank after work independence and in the second rank after participating in decision making. While after the authoritative deputation, it came in the third rank but it came
after the innovative conduct as the fourth and final rank.
The results of the study revealed that there are no statistically significant differences at the level (a < 0.05) in the responses of the study sample of teachers to the level of the practice of principals of private schools in the Governorate of Muscat for administrative empowerment attributed to the variables of scientific qualification and
years of experience. There are no statistically significant differences in all dimensions
except after participation in decision-making where the differences were in favor of
males. The results of the study showed that the level of organizational commitment of
teachers in private schools in Muscat Governorate for the fields of study as a whole was
within the medium grade. The first rank was significantly for the field of emotional commitment, in the second rank came the field of commitment of responsibility towards the school at an average degree, while the field of continuous commitment came in the third and last rank at an average degree as well. The results also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences at the level (a < 0.05) in the responses of the study sample of male and female teachers to the level of organizational commitment of teachers in private schools in Muscat Governorate due to social gender variables,
educational qualification and years of experience.
The results of the study found a positive correlation and statistically significant relationship between the degree of practice of private school principals in Muscat Governorate for administrative empowerment and the level of organizational
commitment of teachers.
The study suggested a number of recommendations; the most important ones are to amend the organizational structures in the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman in line with the empowerment of teachers and to delegate decision-making authority. It is necessary also to conduct training courses in administrative empowerment for principals of private schools and to clarify the importance of empowerment and its benefits in the development of the school, and strengthen the organizational commitment of teachers by taking into account their demands and provide a system of incentives, encouragement and motivation.
