The current study aimed at investigating the psychometric properties of the Multidimensional-Multiattributional Causality Scale (MMCS) among Sultan Qaboos University students. The sample of the study consisted of 811 students (418 female, & 393 male students) from all colleges. The descriptive approach and appropriate statistics were used to answer the study's research questions. The validity of the MMCS scale was checked using face validity, factorial validity through confirmatory factor analysis, convergent validity, and discriminative validity. The results showed that the scale has acceptable validity indices. Moreover, the factorial analysis of the scale showed two factors from the second degree (internal- external), and each one consisted of two factors from the first degree ability and effort (internal), and context and luck (external) in success and failure situations. The reliability of the scale was examined through calculating internal consistency using Cronbach's alpha which ranged between (0.60-0.72). The stability index was also calculated using test-retest and it ranged between (0.42- 0.70). These results showed acceptable reliability indices. The results were discussed in light of the theoretical framework and previous studies. Some suggestions and recommendations related to the topic were presented.
