The aim of this study was to identify the common coping styles figuring used by post educational students and the least used ones. There are statistical differences in coping styles according to gender and their personality characteristics. The research applied two tools. These tools were The Adolescent Coping Scale that was prepared by (Frydenberg & Lewis, 1993) translated by the researcher and the NEOFFI-S that was prepared by (Costa & McCrea, 1992) and translated by Al-Kalbani (2006). They were applied on a sample of (688) post – educational students (344) of them were male and (344) of them were female in AL-Dakhliya region. The results showed that the most used coping style was (reference to others) and the least used was (non - productive styles). There was statistical difference between male and female students .In the coping styles, male students used (solving the problem), while female students adapted the (non -productive coping). Both male and female students had the some level of (reference to others). It was found that the most common coping style which can affect the use of (the style of focusing on solving problems) were Extraversion, Conscientiousness, Openness and Agreeableness. Furthermore, Extraversion and Conscientiousness were capable in prediction of using the style of (reference to others). However, Neuroticism, Openness, Agreeableness were effective in predicting the use of (non -productive coping style). The results were interpreted in the light of the theoretical background related studies. Also, number of recommendations and suggestions have been provided.
