The study aimed to find out the extent to which Islamic culture teachers provide learning situations that help Grade 11 pupils to learn autonomously in the light of the qualitative variables and educational regions of the Sultanate of Oman. The sample consisted of 81 male and female teachers and 53 supervisors from different regions (A'Dakhilya, Albatinah South, Abatinal North, and A'Dhahirah).
A questionnaire has been used as a research tool to achieve the aims of the study. The tool comprised two different dimensions. The first was the proposed classroom learning situations, whereas the second was the learning situations that can be provided outside the
classroom,
It was applied to a random sample of the study population to ensure the tool reliability. The sample composed of (36) senior teachers. Cronbach's Alpha coefficient used to calculate
the internal consistency of the tool reliability. The reliability coefficient value is (80.6)... The main findings of the study are the following:
- That teachers of Islamic culture provide learning situations to significantly help
students in grade 11 to learn autonomously. There are statistical significant differences among the participants' results in favor of the senior teachers, There are statistical significant differences between the results of participants in favor of females.
In light of the findings of the study, recommendations have been suggested as follows:
The need to apply learning autonomy methods in schools in Oman after finding out the effectiveness of this method in several educational studies
