The aim of this study, is to focus on the leadership behavior of heads of departments, in SQU Colleges as realized by faculty members, and also to identify the effects of demographic variables, (College, nationality, sex, age, academic rank and experience) of faculty Members on the Leadership behavior heads of departments. Another most important aim of this study is to examine the effects of demographic variables of faculty Members on their job Satisfaction, and finally to determine the effects of leadership behavior on the job Satisfaction of faculty members. The targeted population of the studycomprised of (40). To answer all study questions, and analyze its data, the SPSS package was used. Results: The most important results of this study may be summmerized as follows: 1. Acording to the prospective of the visionary leadership behavior, the level of the leadership behavior as practiced by department heads in SQU colleges ranks at the third level, whereas the leadership behavior of department heads in the college of education ranks at the fourth level 7. The Visionary Leadership Theory comprises three main aspects, namely behavior, characteristics and culture. The study results clarified that the heads of department in SQU differ in the level marks of each aspect. The college of Commerce achieved level three in the behavior aspect, which was the higher level. As for the characteristic level, the Commerce/ Engineering College achieved level three. Finally, the higher mark was achieved by the Commerce and Engineering College in the culture aspect. p. There were statistical significant differences at (a =-560) on the job satisfaction in the supervision field in favour of female. . There were statistical relationships between the leader behavior of the head of the department and the job satisfaction of family members. In conclusion, the study concentrated on some proposals, which hopefully will contribute to identify the aspects to be focused by the administration of academic departments, in terms of management and organizational aspects, keeping in mind the importance of job satisfaction of faculty members in SQU.
