This thesis investigates the usage of the Demonstrative Style in the Quranic Text. It is hoped to contribute to the studies of Arabic language applications in the field of Stylistics. The thesis consists of three chapters , preceded by an introduction, and followed by a conclusion. The introduction states the general concept of the Demonstrative style in traditional studies of Arabic Language , relating that to the purpose of this study. The first chapter shows the frequency distribution of the Demonstrative Pronouns in the Quranic Suras and verses, giving clear description of their existence in these Suras , and the different contexts in which thy are used. The second chapter examines the significance of the Demonstrative Pronoun usage in the Quranic text , explaining their different types , and showing what things and matters they refer to. The third chapter deals with the function of the Demonstrative pronoun in text coherence . It shows the places in which it is used to relate the text components to each other. It explains as well how the Demonstrative Pronoun refer to the preceding matters, and shows the difference between general idea about the contexts in which they interchange. The conclusion states the results of the study, leaving some other questions for future research.
