This Thesis examines the system of Electronic Arbitration pursuant to the Omani Law of Arbitration in Civil and Commercial Disputes. It focuses on the process of the Electronic Arbitration in comparison to its traditional form as the starting point of building a basis of this thesis, with emphasis on its importance and the advantageous use of technology in the arbitral process.
In addition, this thesis explains the progress, process and procedure of the Electronic Arbitration process culminating in the arbitration award, in the lights of the applicable laws in Oman.
Moreover, the thesis will mention the procedure of appeal against the arbitration award and the mode of execution of the award in accordance with Omani Law and international legislations that might have bearing on the subject.
This research has been concluded with several results, recommendations, and focuses on: an the role of Omani Law of Arbitration in civil and commercial disputes, The Electronic Transactions Law among other relevant legislation in Electronic Arbitration it requires to be stated that the above mentioned laws requires amendments to fully suit the procedural requirements of Electronic Arbitration in line with the rapidly developing area of Electronic technology.
