The aim of this study is to investigate the availability of Islamic law purposes with the verses of the holy Quran and the honorable hadith within the content of Islamic education books after the basic education in sultanate of Oman. This is can be achieved by answering the following questions:
1. What is the availability of verses from the holy Quran mentioned in the content of Islamic education books after the basic education in sultanate of Oman?
2. What is the availability of the honorable hadith in the content of Islamic education books after the basic education in sultanate of Oman when it comes to the Islamic law purposes?
3. How much difference can be traced between the Islamic law purposes in the content of Islamic education books in sultanate of Oman and the mentioned text in these books ( verses of the Holy Quran or The Honorable Hadith)?
4. How much difference can be traced between the Islamic law purposes in the content of Islamic education books in sultanate of Oman and the type of the purpose ( maintaining religion, maintaining self, maintaining mind, maintaining honor, and maintaining money) ?
In order to answer these questions the researcher designed two instruments. The first one is a list of Islamic law purposes consists of (65) items. The second instrument is a form of content analysis, since the researcher depends on the holy verses of the Holy Quran and Honorable hadith as a unit of analysis. The validity was examined by a group of arbitrators which were (41)arbitrators. The reliability of analysis was examined by another analyzer, and the coefficient of concordance between them was(85,71% ). The reliability of analysis was examined Validity and reliability were examined, and to analyze the data some statical methods have been used like frequencies and percentages.
The sample of the study consist all Islamic education books required in 2013/2014 after the basic education (11-12) in Oman. Analytic descriptive method was used. The study has concluded the following: 1. The purposes of Islamic law that include the Holy Quran get the highest level of frequencies (639) distributed in the fives purposes, and comparing to the honorable hadith which get (253) of frequencies. 2. The purpose of marinating religion get the top percentage (73.7%) comparing to the four purposes in terms of availability of the verses from the Holy Quran and Honorable Hadith. 3: There is no concern of relative balance in distributing the Islamic law purposes available in the verses from the Holy Quran and Honorable Hadith
In the light of these findings, researcher gives some recommendations like trying to achieve . logical balance in in distributing the Islamic law purposes available in the verses from the Holy
Quran and Honorable Hadith in the books of Islamic education after the basic education.
