The objective of this study is to measure the effectiveness of a specialized training program based on decision making strategies to develop sense of social responsibility among 10th grade female students in Muscat Governorate in Sultanate of Oman. The study sample consisted of 74 female students who were divided into two groups; experimental group and control group, each included 37 students. In order to test the study hypothesis, a specialized training program consisting of seven training sessions was applied. During These sessions, activities on decision making strategies were executed to the experimental group. In addition, the author applied a pre and post test on social responsibility measure to both groups, to evaluate the effectiveness of the training program. The statistical analysis of the results shows a significant difference (at level 0.01) between the experimental and control groups in the sense of social responsibility measure. This difference was attributed to the training program. The results of the six sub-tests of the sense social responsibility have also been outlined and improvements were noticed in all these subtests, in favor of the experimental group, especially in the family and peers subtests. A follow up test for the experimental group indicated stable results in all social responsibility subtests, except toward the self and neighborhood. All results have been discussed in terms of previous literature, as well as recommendations and suggestions have been reported
