Sultan Faisal Bin Turky's period (1888-1913) is considered very important in the Omani history. At that time, British and French rivalry has increased to monopolize Oman's foreign affairs as well as its strategic location to protect their colonies in the east. Therefore, many crises arose between Great Britain and France.This dissertation is very important in a way it is about the Omani internal affairs in that period in which they influenced the Omani relations with Britain and France. It is also about the fact of the problems that appeared among them because of the rivalry. Thus, this study uses a stylistic style in dealing with the circumstances of that era.There are three chapters in this Thisis. The first one deals with the internal affairs of Oman between (1888-1913) since Sultan Faisal became a ruler of Oman. It also discusses the conflict between the Tribes in the internal region and the government in the Muscat until the Ibadi Imamate was ravivlel in 1913. The second chapter is about the relations of Sultan Faisal with Britain and France. It includes topics on the British acknowledgment of Sultan Faisal as a leader of Oman and on the treaty which was signed in 1891 between Oman and Britain. Further, it talks about Zanzibar's aid and the decline of Sultan Faisal's relations with Britain. On the French side, this chapter deals with the existence of French Consul in Muscat and its role in enhancing the relations among Oman and France. The last section handles the political crises that resulted from the British and French rivalry in Oman during Sultan Faisal's reign. These problems were about Bander Aljassah, the French flags and weapons trade.Thus, this Thisis includes an introduction, a conclusion, a list of references and attachments that are related. Finally, we can extract four results from this study:
1. It reveals the decline of the political and internal affairs of Oman
because of the fight between the government and the Ibadi
Imamate.
2. It shows the daily interventions of Britain in Oman's local affairs.
3. It demonstrates the continuous efforts of Sultan Faisal to keepBritain away from the Omani local affairs.
4. It show Pasew grac219 stood agonst the British benefits in Omanand not to allow her to monopolize Oman's foreign relations.
