The aim of this study was to spot the light on the presence of the Intertexuality as a literary phenomenon in the modern poetry and to demonstrate its presence through perceiving Mureed Al-Barghothi collections, who was chosen in this study for the sufficiency of the materials that could be applied to, beside his experiences in the variant type of poetry, and not to mention his vast yield which has not yet been critically analyzed.
The study is divided into two barts, theoretical parts. The first chapter is a theoretical, it explains the definition, the originsand the dimensions of the Intertextuality. The second chapter combines the theoretical and the practical parts through presenting the sources of the Intertextuality in AL-Barghothi's poetical speech. The third chapter gives an applied presentation on the mechanism of the Intertextuality in AL-Barghothi's poetical speech. Finally, comes the fourth chapter with the techniques of the Intertextuality in AL-Barghothi's poetical speech.
At the end; the research is followed by an applied study of one of the poet's poem to reinforce the chapters of the research.
Hereupon; the research proves the importance of the Intertextual phenomenon studying the modern poem, which applies this phenomenon in many different ranges.
