This study aims to recognize the relationship between the use of social media and some factors (the class, the gender and the level) through cycle two students in north of A'sharqia governate in the Sultanate of Oman. The study was applied on 300 students who were distributed into different schools in Al-mudhaibi in grade seven and grade ten.
The researcher has used a questionnaire as a measure of using social media. The sample percentage was 20% comparing with population of the city where they live. The results have shown that there are differences between grade ten students and grade seven students in using social media.
In addition, the study has shown that there are differences in using social media according to other factors like, gender and the studying level. Also, the main usage of social media websites has been for studying purpose.
