main purpose of the present study is to investigate Mechanisms of activating the social worker use of computer in the school through identifying the reality of the social worker use of computer in the school field and identifying the computer software which the social worker needs and also identifying the difficulties that hinder the social worker use of computer in the school field therefore creating a conceived proposal about Mechanisms of activating the social worker use of computer in the school field The study is considered descriptive which depended on the comprehensive social survey method. The researcher used the study tools of semi-structured questionnaire and interview. In order to analyze the data , the frequencies and percentages were found after analyzing the data and lanova, scheffe test and statistical function were used to find relations. The study included all the social workers in the schools for basic education in AL-Dakhiliyah Region where their number reached 115 social workers (males and females) in the school year 2009/2010 and also the study included all the supervisors of social education in the department of educational outreach and student welfare in the education directorate of AL-Dakheliya Region. Their number reached 6 supervisors. The present study reached the following results: 1- The importance of upgrading the performance level of the social worker in using computer in the school field. 2- The importance of the computer software, which the social worker needs in the school field.
3- There is a number of difficulties that hinders the social worker use of computer in the school field. According to the results, the study reached the following Mechanisms: 1 forming a high committee in the education ministry which its tasks are to design the social workers programs. 2-creating database which includes the ministerial decisions related to the social education. 3- Training the social worker on the application programs in computer in away that is suitable for the great development in the field of information technology and software.
