الملخص الإنجليزي
The effectiveness of hypnosis strategy among a sample of students who suffer from insomnia in the Sultanate of Oman have been studied and analyzed. The sample of 20 students of 11th grade at Al-Alaa Bin Wahab School with priority that all students have high scores in the scale of insomnia which have been developed by the researcher. The sample were divided into two randomly groups of 10 students; one of them is experimental and the other is a control group.
To achieve the objectives of the study the researcher has intended to develop the scale of insomnia among secondary school students and build the hypnosis strategy which consists of 21 Hypnosis sessions - one session per day and the session period took almost half an hour.
Prior and posterior measurements were conducted three times- one prior measurement per week and a follow-up measurement were conducted after a month following the third posterior.
The results so obtained are referred to the existence of statistically significant differences between the experimental and control group in the average of insomnia in favor of the experimental group for the three posterior measurements. These differences are attributable to the hypnosis strategy.
In addition to that, it's also referring to the existence of statistically significant differences between two groups regarding the average of insomnia in the follow-up measures, which are attributable to the hypnosis strategy. Finally, the results ensured the effectiveness of hypnosis strategy in reducing the insomnia amongst the sample of 11th grade for male students.
