This study aimed at investigating the job satisfaction of the expatriate teachers' in Basic Education schools in the interior governorate in Sultanate of Oman. Th followed the descriptive methodology because it is compatible with the purposes of the study. A questionnaire was developed and conducted as an instrument for gathering data and information for the study and it was distributed to the sample of (200) expatriate male and female teachers, SPSS is a software package used for statistical analysis of gathered data.
The Results of this study revealed that the professional development came at the top (available too much), it is the most important reason for the job satisfaction of expatriate teachers from the point view of the sample. On the other hand, salary, incentives and rewards is pointed as the second reason among the sample of the study (available too much) from the point view of the sample. The third reason is thinking of home domain (available too much) from the point view of the sample. On the other hand, work environment came as the fourth reason (is almost available) from the point view of the sample. While job stability is the fifth reason (is almost available) from the point view of the sample. The sixth reason is place for accommodation is rarely available) from the point view of the sample, and this is because there is a very small group of teachers unsatisfied about their accommodations and feel uncomfortable in their accommodations. The study is also concludes that there were no significant differences (0.005 > a) between means of all fields of the study with respect to the gender (male, female), the profession, the qualification and the years of experience, that the (f value) does not statistically significant.
The study recommended following:
- Workshops and training programmes must be arranged for the expatriate teachers.
- Comfortable accommodations with fast broadband internet services should be facilitated
for the expatriate teachers. Induction meeting and reception programme should be organized for the new expatriate teachers. Information about Oman and the Omani society costumes, values and principles should be presented during these induction meetings as well as job regulations, rules and systems in Oman.
