The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between Functional Movement Screen (FMS) scores and strength muscle, power and sprint with change of direction among student athletes aged (14 to 16) years. From schools in Muscat governorate, 20 student athletes participated in this study (Age:15.35 0.75 years, Hight: 1.67 + 0.07 m, Weight: 57.15 = 7.53 Kg, and Height While Seated: 0.82 + 0.34 m). All participants were evaluated according to FMS; Strength muscle, including Handgrip Strength (HG) and Back Strength (BG) tests; Strength power, including Countermovement Jump (CMJ), Squat Jump (SJ), Drop Jump (DJ), Standing Long Jump (SLJ) and 5-Jump (5JT) tests; and 20-m sprint with COD tests. The results show that the arithmetic mean of total FMS scores is (16.55 = 1.93) and found a statistically significant relationship between CMJ and each of Deep Squat (DS), Hurdle Step (HS), In-Line Lunge (ILL) and Rotary Stability (RS), (r=0.588, p < 0.01), (r=0.518, p < 0.05), (r= 0.653, p <0.01) and (r= 0.445, P<0.05) respectively; DJ and each of DS and ILL, (r= 0.475, p < 0.05) and (r= 0.588, P<0.01) respectively; Reactive Strength Index (RSI) and ILL, (r=0.550, P < 0.05); SLJ and each of ILL and RS, (-0.515, p < 0.05) and (r 0.458, p < 0.05) respectively; and 5JT and each of ILL and Trunk Stability Push-Up (TSP), (r=0.569. P < 0.05) and (r = 0.468, p < 0.05) respectively. Moreover, the results also found a statistically significant relationship between total FMS scores and all strength power tests, as the coefficient of explained variation (1) of CMJ test was 62.6% at significance level of ps 0.01, while the results found no statistically significant relationship between all individual and total FMS tests and strength muscle and sprint with change of direction tests. The study concluded that the functional movement of the student athletes aged (14 to 16) years is relatively low, indicating their low motor competence. Furthermore, total FMS scores can be considered as a good indicator to predict strength power, particularly at CMJ test. It's essential to combine FMS tests with strength muscle and power and sprint with change of direction among whom aged (14 to 16) years.
