This message aims to build a suggested model to improve the supervisory practices of educational supervisors in the ministry of the education in the sultanate of Oman. To achieve this aim, the researcher designed a questionnaire composed of (53) paragraphs distributed into eight main fields. After being sure of its truthfulness and its stability, it had been distributed to (1057) senior teachers. The researcher used the average's, standard deviations, differences analysis and posteriori comparisons. The study found a range of results, one of the most noticeable is the degree of effectiveness of supervisors practices. The supervisors of the ministry of education of Oman were high in all fields except the field of professional academic growth, and the student's directing and guiding. The results indicate to a lack of statistically significant differences (a≤0,05) related to the gender. As well as the results indicated no differences(a≤0,05) due to the variable qualification in the areas of (planning, classroom management, teaching aids and guiding the students, curricula and educational assessment) and the existence of
differences attributed to the same variable in the areas of (academic and vocational growth, vocational adaption and social adaption). As for the variable of experience has indicated results as follow: There were statistically significant differences attributed to the experience in the areas of (student orientation and guidance, the academic vocational growth and vocational and social adaptation) and there were no statistically significant(a≤0,05) in the areas of (planning, curriculum, classroom management and teaching aids). As for the variable educational governorate indicate statically significant(a≤0,05) in favor of the governorate of Muscat. The researcher recommended as a result of this study to: * Developing an inclusive plan for the process of supervision through these steps: Improving selection criteria for supervisors, Increasing the numbers of supervisors and reducing the administrative and technical burdens placed upon them, the expansion of the supervision in the field of specialization , coordination between the supervisors when developing supervisory plans and coordination of the supervisors with scholar administrations and assist them in developing their special development plans to achieve supervision plan integration. * Awareness of educational leaders to improve the effectiveness of the supervisory practices through the following: increasing the degree of independence of the educational institutions and their staffs, to define their objectives clearly, taking into account the compatibility between their goals and the objectives of their employees, Increasing incent and rewards to boost morals for the employee in educational institutions, encouraging the creators of workers to motivate others to do creative works and create honorable competitive spirit between the workers in the educational institutions. * The ministry of education in the sultanate of Oman should improve the effectiveness of supervisory, especially in the area of academic and vocational growth more than median case which the supervisors are now, through increasing their awareness, increasing the participation in decision making and organizing training and cultural courses to push them towards better performance, and this will lead improve the teaching – learning process. *It is necessary for the ministry of education to adopt this model to improve the supervisory practices, since there was no model designed to develop these practices till now.
