The purpose of this study was to investigate Some personality traits and their relationship to the self-efficacy social workers in the Sultanate of Oman schools. The sample consists of ( 200 ) a social worker ( 75( males and (125) females from various schools of Oman's government in the Al- Buraimi Province, Al-Daklia Province and Al-Dahira Province. To answer the questions of this study, the researcher developed two measures: first one to measure personality traits ( harmony, intelligence, fortitude and emotional, impulsivity, adventure, savvy, radical, the adequacy of self-worth, self-regulation ) and is derived from the scale factors of personal sixteen Raymond Cattell, and the second to measure the self-efficacy. The face validity of the measures has been asserted by 12 expert judges in Educational Psychology and methods of teaching. The reliability of the measures has been tested through internal consistercg by using Alfa Cronbach which showed high coefficients for both measures, that is( 0.843 )for measure of personality traits , and ( 0.833) for measure of self-efficacy. To answer the first question was used statistical description ( arithmetic mean ) and standard deviation ; to answer the second question was used the Pearson correlation coefficient ; to answer the third question was used multiple linear regression ; to answer the fourth question T-test was used for comparison between males and females.
