The current study aimed at identifying the relationship between career future anxiety and thinking patterns among General Education Diploma Students in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of the following variables: (Gender, School Subjects). In this study, the descriptive correlation method was followed. And two assessment tools which are: Career Future Anxiety Assessment & the Positive and Negative Thinking Patterns Assessment were applied on a sample of (1000) male and female students (490 males, 510 females) selected by using Quota sampling. The study's results showed that the Level of career future anxiety among general education diploma students is Seldom Where the mean was reached (2,18).
Furthermore, the results showed that the thinking pattern that is common among general education diploma students is the positive one. The results showed also that there is positive and direct statically significant difference between career future anxiety and thinking patterns, there is statically significant difference in the level of career future anxiety and thinking pattern that is common among due to gender in the favor of Meals. Also, there is statically significant difference in the level of career future anxiety and thinking pattern that is common among due to school subjects variables in the favor of students who study applied subjects.
Therefore, the thinking patters could be predicted based on the career future anxiety extents among students; whereas the correlation coefficient reached (R=0.441) with explanatory power of (44,1%).
Finally, the study recommended that it is vitally important to boost the positive thinking among general education diploma students which consequently reduces the career future anxiety within them, and activate the role of career guidance specialists at schools.
