الملخص الإنجليزي
The study yielded many interesting and useful findings related to each dimension and to each cluster of characteristics constituting each vignette. These findings display the subjects' awareness of good practice and personal characteristics of EFL teachers.
The findings of the study reveal that there are no statistically significant differences between supervisors' and teachers' perceptions of the effective EFL teacher.
The study also shows that regardless of their qualifications and years of experiences,
supervisors and teachers perceived the effective EFL teacher in similar ways.
Based on the findings of the study, some recommendations are made at the end of the study. For example, supervisors and teachers should work together as a group to help in formulating teaching standards that suit the Omani environment and culture.
