The current study aimed to identify the level of professional identity and its relation to psychological stress among teachers of North Al Batinah governorate at Sultanate of Oman. The study sample consists of (400) respondents who were selected randomly. Professional Identity Scale and psychological stress Scale were used. The results showed that the level of professional identity was high, while the level of psychological stress was moderate. There was significant negative correlation between the professional identity and psychological stress in all domains except Academic domain in psychological stress and Social modeling in professional identity. According to variables, the results showed that there were significant differences in the level of professional identity due to gender variable in favor of females except professional social comparison and restoring self-esteem domain. According to experience variable, the results showed that there were no significant differences in the level of professional identity due to teacher experience except professional self-image domain. Regarding psychological stress, the results showed that there were no significant differences in the level of psychological stress due to gender variable in favor of females except psychological domain. According to experience variable, the results showed that there were significant differences in the level of psychological stress due to teacher experience in all domains if favor of who have more than 15 years of experience.
