English abstract
This study aims to focus on intertextuality in the forgiveness letter by Abu Al Alaa Al Marri through discovering interactive texts in different contexts. It also aims to find out the deep meanings of texts in order to clarify the cultural contents and reference fields which has led to the formation of a literary text.
The study makes the research to be divided into an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. The introduction includes a short biography of Al Marri and it also includes a study related to narrative speech in the Forgiveness Letter. The first chapter studies the theory of intertextuality: the definition, its first appearance in the current western criticism. Then, the chapter focuses on the term "intertextuality" according to the current Arab critical studies and it is compared to the old critical studies. The title of the second chapter is " Sources of Intertextuality in the Forgiveness Letter". The researcher studies the cultural contents and reference fields of the 69 Forgiveness Letter." The third chapter pays attention to the spatial intertextuality and kinds of intertextuality in the Forgiveness Letter. The fourth chapter is entitled "Ways of Requesting Personality and Texts in the Forgiveness Letter."
Finally, the conclusion is a summary of the study's findings.
