English abstract
A participatory action research design is chosen for this study which aimed to identify psychological resilience and mental health in their deliberate dimensions among Omani and Expatriates students and the relationship between them. Originally, the study is purposively selected in order to identify relationship between two focus groups.
The study is being applied to 777 students (476 Omani and 301expatriates). These students belong to Sultan Qaboos University and some private universities (Nizwa University, Caledonian Engineering College and the College of Design Science).
In order to answer the study questions, the researcher follows the comparative descriptive correlation method and uses Purposive model representative of original community. She uses the criterion of psychological resilience and mental health, where it is verified the validity of both methods using Face Validity after competent and qualified professors' verification in the Psychology Department at Sultan Qaboos University and Nizwa University. The validity of the construction is also verified by calculating the correlation coefficient between the scale cases and the scale as a whole. The data in this study also considers checking the stability of the measurements using Cronbach's alpha equation for internal consistency where the stability coefficient of the psychological resilience (0.84) and stability coefficient of the mental health measure (0.91). The study found the following results:

The findings of this study support existing individuals of the basic model enjoy a high degree of psychological resilience and mental health concerning satisfaction about life, emotional attachment, loss of behavioral and emotional control. It is evident that individuals (Omani students) are higher than those of expatriates, and to a moderate degree of mental health in anxiety, depression, and positive public sentiment. Expatriates students recorded a higher student scores than Omani students, . There exists a statistically positive relationship between psychological resilience and mental health There exists a negative relationship between anxiety and depression and the loss of behavioral control on the one hand and all dimensions of psychological resilience and mental health on the other hand. . There are no statistically significant differences in the degree of psychological resilience and mental health due to gender variable and university variables among sample members of Omani and Expatriate students.
