English abstract
The study aimed to identify the administrative problems faced by administrative supervisors at the general directorates of education in the Sultanate of Oman . The study also tried to detect differences in the averages of the selected sample responses, according to the variables of the study, namely: gender, qualification, experience, educational governorate.
In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a quantitative approach method has been used, through a questionnaire which consisted of 54 items distributed on (6) areas, namely: issue or problems related to the planning, organization, supervision, communication, training, and issues related to assessment. The study sample consisted of 52 supervisors from all educational governorates in the Sultanate of Oman except Al Wusta, Buraimi, and Musandam governorates.
After processing the data statistically using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), the results of the study showed that the presence of the administrative problems faced by the administrative supervisor of the general directorates of Education in the Sultanate of Oman from the point of the study sample was high in all areas of the study respectively: the issues (problems) related to training, organization , supervision, communication, planning, and assessment issues. The study found that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (0.052a) between the study sample estimates and returns to the study variables: gender, educational qualification, experience, or governorate directorates of education.
Based on the findings of the study results, the researcher concluded several recommendations including: organizing regular meetings between administrative supervisors and officials concerned by administrative supervision, This would be of great help to study and discuss the administrative issues and problems faced by the administrative supervisor, and to develop appropriate solutions in order to improve the work of the administrative supervisor, to set up a comprehensive strategy to identify well-planned training course being provided to supervisor and administrators according to the modern premises in the field of supervision.
