English abstract
The study aimed to know the range of practising the Educational supervisors for some types of educational supervision in Basic Education Schools in Al- Wusta Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman and identifying the range of having differences which have a statistical significance at the level of (a=0.05) in the responses of a sample of individuals of the study according to the changes of gender, experience and academic qualifications. To achieve these aims, I used the descriptive way and the questionnaire in collecting the data and information and applied it on a sample of 261 teachers in Al-Wusta Governorate.
The study found out several results and the most important are the following : The practice of educational supervisors for some types of Educational supervision in the basic education schools in Al Wusta governorate in Sultanate of Oman which was to a great extent in general a mathematical average of (2.43) and a standard deviation of (0.391)." The protective supervision " came in the first rank where the average was (2.55) and a standard deviation of (0.323) followed by the type of " Remedial supervision" with an average of (2.48) and a standard deviation of (0.398 ) followed by the type of " supervision by goals " at an average of (2.46) and a standard deviation of (0.437) followed by the "Electronic supervision " at the average of (2.45) and a standard deviation of (0.387). In the fifth rank came the type of " developmental supervision " at the average of (2.40) and a standard deviation of (0.473) followed by the type of " diversified supervision " at the average of (2.39) and a standard deviation of (0.444). This was followed by the type of " participatory supervision " at the average of (2.37) and a standard deviation of (0.361). In the last rank came the type of creative supervision " at the average of (2.34) and a standard deviation of (0.573).
The study also found out that there are some statistical differences in the range of practising the educational supervisors for some types of the Educational supervision from the individuals' point of view of the study sample according to the kind of the patterns of (Remedial supervision), (Developmental supervision), (Creative supervision) and (Participatory supervision) but I found out that in the rest of the types, there was no difference in the range of practising the educational supervisors for some types of the Educational supervision from the individuals' point of view of the study sample according to the gender and it doesn't differ by the difference of the educational qualification and the years of experience.
The study recommended several recommendations and the most important of them are: increasing the interest of the responsible people for the educational supervision and strengthening its role and qualifying the educational supervisors for getting scientific degrees such as Masters and doctorates and the educational supervisors should vary the supervision styles and not depending on one style in the supervision on condition that varying these styles should be according to the nature of the aims which we want to achieve.
