English abstract
The study aims to test the effectiveness of using the "educational stations strategy" in achievement of the seventh grade students in dictation in the Sultanate of Oman. In order to achieve this, the researcher prepared an achievement test and a guideline of executing the strategy, both of which were presented to specialized judges for validity. The test reliability had scored(0.84) by Cronbach's Alpha. The study sample consisted of two groups, (24) of which were female students who were taught dictation according to the educational stations strategy, and (18) of which were taught by the traditional way. When the experiment was done, an achievement test was conducted. The results showed that there is a statistically obvious difference in the average scores between the two groups, favoring the first group, which can be originated to the difference in the way of teaching.
Given this result, the researcher recommends the use of the educational stations strategy and the importance of training the teachers to use it in-class, whether in dictation or other linguistic areas
