English abstract
This study aimed to identify teachers' occupational burnout in Al Batinah South Governorate and its relation to perfectionism according to the variables of gender, type of education, academic qualification and years of experience. It also aimed to identify the degree of occupational burnout and perfectionism and the correlation between them among teachers. The study sample consisted of (302) teachers divided into (129) males and (173) females in Al Batinah South Governorate. The researcher used Al Hatimi occupational Burnout Scale (2014), as it has psychometric features and it was applied on Omani environment. To apply the Perfectionism Scale, the researcher developed it because there is no scale for perfectionism among teachers the results showed that there is an average level of burnout among teachers in Al Batinah South Governorate according to the Occupational Burnout Scale. There is an average level of perfectionism among teachers in Al Batinah South Governorate according to the Perfectionism Scale. There are differences in level of occupational burnout due to gender in favor of females. There is a correlation between Perfectionism and Burnout among teachers in Al Batinah South Governorate. There are differences in level of occupational burnout among teachers due to type of education favoring primary education teachers. There are differences in level of occupational burnout among teachers in Al Batinah South Governorate due to the variable of years of experience. There are differences in level of perfectionism among teachers in Al Batinah South Governorate due to the variable of the years of experience favoring the category of 10 years and more. There are no differences in level of perfectionism among teachers in Al Batinah South Governorate due to the variables of the gender, type of education and academic qualification. There are no differences in level of occupational burnout and perfectionism among teachers in Al Batinah South Governorate due to the variable of academic qualification.
