English abstract
This study aimed to identify the fact of activating the community partnership in literacy centers and adult education in the Sultanate of Oman. The study used the descriptive method. The questionnaire was used in collecting data and information and was
applied to a sample of 206 members of administrative and teaching bodies.
The study found many results, the most important of which is the fact of activating the community partnership in the centers of literacy and adult education in the Sultanate Oman came to a very small extent in general, as well as in all three axes of the study. The axis of Buildings and Equipment Support came in first place, followed by the Professional Development of the Administrative and Teaching Staff, while Scholars Support came in third and last place. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (a 0.05) in the responses of the sample of the study according to the gender variable in the professional development axis of the administrative and teaching staff in favor of males and there were no statistically significant differences at the level of a (0.05) In the responses of the study sample due to the variable of scientific qualification and experience in all axes.
The study recommended a number of recommendations including:
To make use of the material and human resources of the community institutions in the implementation of a variety of programs to benefit the students in providing them with life skills, preparing them for future participation in the production and service operations, as well as educating the society in all its institutions and bodies and its members about the importance of literacy centers and adult education, Through seminars, lectures, social media and various media. The partnership between literacy centers, adult education and the local community should be activated to serve and benefit the administration staff, teaching staff and students of the centers.
