English abstract
This study aims at measuring the effectiveness of a collective guidance program in improving skills of Holy Quran female teachers in Sultanate of Oman. The sample of this study consists of (32) teachers from three towns (Manah, Nizwa, Izki). They are divided into (16) teachers in the experimental group and (16) teachers in the control group.
The methods of this study consist of Interpersonal Communication Skills Inventory for (Graham, 1998), and a collective counseling Program in improving communication skills prepare by the researcher. The results of the study show that there are no statistically significant differences between the controlled group and experimental group in the pretest in favor of the experimental group which indicates the equivalence of both groups. It show also that there are statistically significant differences between the control group and the experimental group in the result of the experimental group, and statistically significant differences between the average grades of the experimental group. In the pretest and post test personal communication skills test wich was in favor of the post test. This indicates the effectiveness of the collective guidance program develop for the current study. Moreover, it shows that there are no statistically significant differences between the average grades of the experimental group in the posttest and their average grades in the follow-up test for the personal communication test. This indicates the solidity and stability of the skills even after a period has passed since the program was apply.
