English abstract
The present study aimed to identify the most parental treatment methods commonly used in raising up and controlling female students' behaviors. It also aimed to find out the nature of the correlation between parental treatment methods and reading weaknesses and to what extent can these methods help in predicting reading weaknesses. In addition, it aimed to find out the differences of the treatments methods used by both; mothers and fathers.
Using a descriptive correlative method, the researcher applied a measure of parental treatment methods to a sample of 49 fathers and 49 mothers. Besides, a reading weakness test was also applied on a sample of 49 female students. Using different statistical analysis, the results showed that a careful approach was most common in the raising up and controlling children's behaviors and there is no statistical correlation between the parental treatment methods and the reading weaknesses. However, the results indicated that there is a reverse relationship between the careful parental method and the reading weakness so whenever the careful method increases, the reading weakness decreases. On the other hand , it showed that there is a positive relationship between the idler parental method and the reading weakness and whenever the negligence increases the reading weakness increases as well. The results also indicated that there a presence of significant statistical differences
