English abstract
This study focuses on evaluating training programs introduced to social specialists in the Directorate General of Education in Muscat and Batinah South regions.
The aim of this study is to identify the reality and nature of training programs in the two regions of the study. It also investigates the appropriateness of these programs to the actual training needs of social specialists, and the obstacles the programs encounter within the school field. Furthermore, the study seeks to come out with a proposal for activating future training programs. The study includes a number of theoretical chapters: presentation on the theoretical part, training, training needs and training process. The practical part includes: methodical procedures, data analysis, presentation of findings and proposals and submission of a training programs proposal introduced to social specialists. The study adopts the evaluation method which has been implemented through the social survey method. The researcher uses data analysis in frequency, percentages, averages, weights, the relative degree and T test for independent samples. The study sample comprises of 268 social specialists from the Directorate General of Education in Muscat and Batinah South regions
who represent the study community.
Study Findings:
- Diversity of training programs. Some programs exceed 50%, while others are 50%.
-There are also less than 50%.. T test shows significant statistical differences between males and females in training needs identification, objectives and training program designing. No statistical differences have been identified in the other dimensions.
