English abstract
The research in this study is about editing a book called (Al Hujaj al wadeha ala altalfiqat al fadeha) written by Imam Abdullah Bin Humaid Al Salmi (1332 H/ 1914) in two aspects:
The first aspect talks about the study itself which comes into four topics. The first topic is about the definition of the author of the book, his education, and his date of death. The second topic is about the relationship between the book and its author and the authenticity of work that attributed to Imam Al Salmi along with the reasons behind writing this book. The researcher talks about the method features of the book and gives examples of these features. The researcher then describes the manuscripts versions and their characteristics. The third topic is about explaining the concerned parties that Imam Al salmi discussed who they are: Mohammed bin Shiakhan Al Salmi and Masoud Bin Ali Al-Toq. Then he mentioned the exchange letters between both of them so the reader can have a clear image of the chronological sequences related to this issue. The second topic focus on a very important issue that the book discussed which is quarantine. The researcher explained the linguistic definition and the terminological boundary of the quarantine. Then he talked about the legitimacy of the quarantine and proofed that with some evidences. He explained about the origin of quarantine in themodern time and how it has become now. More importantly, the researcher tried to defined the type of disease that should be kept in the quarantine with explanations of the boundaries and regulations of this quarantine. The second aspect in the research is about the editing of the book. The researcher compared between the manuscript versions, and working on checking the sameness ofcontents mentioned in the manuscripts. He also mentioned on the footnotes the differences between the manuscripts. He extracted and referred the versus of the Holy Quran, Hadiths, and poetry from their sources, and at the end he listed all of the subtitles in a well-organized contents to make it easier for anyone to refer to and staff in the book.
