This study examined the topic of Disputes Resolution in the Telecommunications sector and the mechanism applied in resolving these issues in accordance to the Telecommunication Regulatory Act. In order to have a clear picture about this topic, the researcher has shed a light to telecom status in the Sultanate since the beginning of the Blessed Renaissance. The first chapter is an introductory part of this study in which the researcher discusses the establishment of the telecomm unications Regulatory Authority (TRA). It is s brief history of major regulatory and legislative stations experienced by the telecomm-unications sector. Talking about the first chapter in this section, we notice that the researcher has examined telecom disputes from two angles: the first one defining dispute in general. This is in order to provide the reader with even bigger vision to understand the subject of the study smoothly by dividing this chapter into two subsections: first, define the term dispute in term of language conflicts and identify its components; second distinguish between dispute and other concepts that may create confusion and misinterpretation by public, With respect to the second part of the study, this part is divided into two chapters. In the first one, the researcher begins discussing Telecom disputes by identifying types of disputes in the telecommunications sector. She addresses these disputes in term of parties in the first part whereas the second part addresses them in terms of topics. In the second chapter, the researcher has elaborated more about disputes resolution in which she discusses means in resolving disputes in general through four sub sections. Each one talks about particular mean applied in the dispute resolution. The first sub-section discuss the judiciary power as the genuine mean in resolving this issue. Other subsections address alternative means such as (reconciliation, mediation, arbitration) individually in this respect. The researcher has devoted the last section to talk about disputes procedure applied by the TRA into three sub-sections which are set for particular disputes beside the other means stipulated by the Act
