English abstract
This study aims at identifying whether the samples of the study agree the role of Educational Management Master Degree Program in developing the educational planning skills of its graduates in Sultanate of Oman. To fulfill the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive approach. She prepared a questionnaire covering five major topics with (37) statements. After ensuring the truthfulness and accuracy of these statements, they were applied to all members of the study community (144) graduate students with master degree in education representing the participants in the study. To reply to the questions, the researcher measured the arithmetic mean and standard deviation as well as using T-test and the one-way analysis of variance.
The main conclusion of the study is that the participants have agreed that the Educational Management Master Degree Program is substantially effective in developing the educational planning skills of its graduate students in Sultanate of Oman. The study also revealed that there are no statistically significant variances at level (0, 05). The participants attributed the effectiveness of educational management master program in developing the educational skills of the graduates to various factors including gender variance, years of experience in employment, year of graduation and name of the university. The study came out with several recommendations including: the need for the program to enhance the foresight skills and the studies of the future, in addition to the need to incorporate statistical methods, foresight and projection and the employment of the modern techniques in the studies of the future (e.g. Delphi Method(.
