English abstract
The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of career group Counseling program in developing career planning using Logothearpy Strategies Among Twelveth Grade Students in Muscat. The sample of the study consisted of (60) male and female students that was divided randomly into two groups. The experimental group consisted of (30) male and female students while the control group consisted of (30)male and female students, the experimental group exposed to career counseling program while the control group exposed to activities in career guidance classes. The study adopted the quas experimental method, the researcher used Career Planning Scale after verifying its psychometric properties. The scale consisted of (48) statements divided into six dimensions: Knowledge of the World of Work, Self-Knowledge, Knowledge of Occupations, Career Decision-Making, Career Planning Career Implementation. The Cronbach's alpha score of Career Planning Scale was (0.925). The results of the T-test showed differences between the average response of the members in the experimental group and the control group on all Career Planning Scale dimensions in the post experiment implementation of the experimental group, while the results of the same test showed differences with statistical significance between the average of the experimental group in pre and post implementation on all Career Planning Scale dimensions in favor of the post implementation. The results of two way ANOVA analysis showed no statistically significance differences on the gender variable on Career Planning Scale. The same results showed that differences in performance with regard to the interaction effect between gender and group had no statistically significance differences. The results of the T-test showed also that there was no differences with statistical significance between the average of the experimental group in post and post 2 (follow up) implementation on all Career Planning Scale dimensions. Implications for future research and recommendations were discussed.Showed also that there was no differences with statistical significance between the average of the experimental group in post and post 2 (follow up) implementation on all Career Planning Scale dimensions.
