) into the Target Text (TT). The findings have indicated that transference
strategy has been adopted more than other translation strategies in rendering the meaning of Omani culture-bound words intothe TT. The conclusion of this study is that the
translation of CSIs tends towards ST-oriented translation in the TT by retaining the cultural
aspect of the original text. Taking into consideration that the cultural gap in translation has remained, translation procedures nevertheless help to render the meaning of CSIs to the TT.
