English abstract
This study aimed at revealing the relationship of the levels of psychological Stress and mental health among the study population among school teachers in Al Dhahirah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of sex and years of experience variables.
The study population consisted of 400 male and female teachers in Al Dhahirah Govenorate.
The researcher used the descriptive approach in this study and used two measurement tools to analyze the reasearch questions. First was the psychological Stress Scale prepared by researcher Esseri(1433). Second was mental health Scale prepared by Abdulkhalek (2016).
The study outcome showed that level of the psychological Stress was moderate among school teachers in Al Dhahirah Governorate and the mathematical averages for mental health were high.
The study had also shown statistical differences between males and females for males. It also did not show any valuable statistical differences between psychological Stress and mental health as a result of the variable of years of experience.
It concluded that mental health could be predicted from the psychological Stress for the study population of teachers in Al Dhahirah Governorate.
