English abstract
The current study aimed to investigate the role of E-learning platforms in
achieving emotional and social learning outcomes from the teachers'
perspective (5-12). The study sample consisted of (286) male and female
teachers in Al-Batinah North Governorate, Sultanate of Oman during the Fall
semester of the academic year (2021/ 2022). To achieve the objectives of this
study, the researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical approach by using the
questionnaire of the role of e-learning platforms in developing emotional and
social learning outcomes that was translated and built up upon the
questionnaire of (Zhoue & Ed, 2012) for emotional and social skills. The validity,
reliability, and suitability for the Omani environment have been verified through
the validity of arbitrators and discrimination coefficients. The results showed a
mediating (positive) role of educational platforms in achieving emotional and
social learning outcomes from the teachers' perspective in Al-Batinah North
Governorate, Sultanate of Oman. The results also showed statistically significant
differences between teachers in terms of their recognition of e-learning
platforms in achieving emotional and social learning outcomes in favor of male
teachers, while showing no statistically significant differences in the role of
e-learning platforms in achieving emotional and social learning outcomes
