English abstract
This study is an attempt to extract the civilizational dimensions of the Qur'anic parables. This has been achieved after clarifying the relationship between the Qur'anic parables and the concept of civilization through the civilizational manifestations of the verses of parables, and through the factors of building civilizations and the factors of destruction of civilizations referred to by the Qur'anic parables.
This research has three chapters, an introductory chapter which dealt with the definition of the parable linguistically and technically. It also discussed its Qur'anic meaning, its sections and its purposes of using it. The second chapter discussed the meaning of civilization, its most important manifestations in the Qur'anic parables, and the factors of building civilizations through the Qur'anic parables and the factors of their destruction. The third and final chapter, the civilizational dimensions of the Qur'anic parables were extracted and divided into four main dimensions: The belief dimension, the moral dimension, the environmental dimension, and the economic dimension.
The researcher has used a number of methods in this study. She has used the inductive method by following the verses of the explicit Qur'anic parables, through which the meaning of the Qur'anic parables and the purpose of using it have been achieved. Moreover, the researcher has used the comparative approach through which the collection of parables related to one subject in one package is achieved. The analytical method have also been used to study the Qur'anic parables and to extract the civilizational dimensions. At the end of the study, the researcher has found the following results:
1. The meaning of the Qur'anic parable and its form and structure are quite different from the common proverbs that people use, even if they meet linguistically in the sense of resemblance, and each of them is related to the meaning of a lesson.
2- The Qur'anic parable, through which the moral ideas are presented in a sense that is understood by the spoken to, and shows the purpose of that it is used for, is the parable that is explicit, whether the form of a proverb is mentioned or not mentioned.
3- Security, tranquility, prosperity of life, and the strength of economic activity are all the most important manifestations of civilization mentioned in the folds of Qur'anic parables.
4- Some of the Qur'anic parables included cognitive, universal, historical and social rules, all of which are establishments of the advancement of the Muslim Nation.
5-The Makki parables differ from the Madani ones in the vocabulary of each and the environment in which the verse was revealed. They also differ in the issues that each one of them addressed.
6- The dimension of belief has constituted the largest percentage compared to the other dimensions of civilization included in the Qur'anic parables.
7- The Qur'anic parables addressed the issues of production, distribution and consumption through its economic dimension and gave solutions to many of the world's economic problems.
8- The Qur'anic parables are comprehensive for they tackled all issues of life: human, religious, social, environmental and economic.
