English abstract
Data leakage is a growing issue and can cause serious implications or threats to
organizations and individuals. Data leakage, information leakage or documents leakage
through an organization's premises mainly occur due to employees' negligence whether
accidentally, unintentionally or intentionally, poor security posture for data leakage
prevention solutions, cyber-attacks, loss of devices and many other reasons. These
issues are exceptionally important for organizations to deal with in relation to mobile
cloud computing environment. This study aims to build an approach to prevent data
leakage by employing the context-aware (personal and device context) and provide best
security preventive techniques available within the mobile cloud computing domain.
The proposed context-aware data leakage prevention (DLP) approach shows promising
outcome which can help organizations to prevent data leakage within mobile cloud
computing environments. A comparative study of the available approaches was
conducted and evaluated in this study while its implementation will be conducted in a
future work.
