This study aims to determine the level of emotional regulation and the level of frustration intolerance. It investigates the relationship between emotional regulation and frustration intolerance among the employees of the governmental departments in the governorate of Muscat. The sample consists of 500 employees (120 males) and (380 females). The researcher uses the emotional regulation scale of (Gross & John, 2003) and the frustration discomfort scale of (Harrington, 2005). The results show an increased level in emotional regulation among the governmental departments' employees. The results also show differences between males and females in the regulation level in favor of males. There are no statistically significant differences between males and females in the level of frustration intolerance. The study recommends that it is necessary to activate and promote the role of the governmental institutions and the media by increasing the interest and the awareness in employing the strategies of emotional regulation and frustration intolerance.
