English abstract
The present study aimed to investigate the Organizational Trust and its relationship to appraisal System of the employees in the Directorate- General for Human Resources Development in the Ministry of Education in Oman.
To achieve the aim of the study, the researcher used a questionnaire in order to determine the relationship between the organizational trust and the appraisal System of the employees in the Directorate-General for Human Resources Development. The questionnaire consists of (54) items and the validity of the designed instrument used in the present study was established by two ways; consulting jury members and by measuring the construct validity. The reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was found to be 0.96 -0.97 between the dimensions and 0.96 for the whole instrument.
The sample of the study consisted of (120) employees in the Directorate- General for Human Resources Development in the Ministry of Education.
Data was analyzed using the statistical software program SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences). The descriptive analysis was used in this study including mean, standard deviation, T-Test, One-Way analyses (ANOVA), Pearson Correlation Coefficient, and multiple regression analysis (Enter).
The most important results of the study were that the degree of Organizational Trust for the employees in the Directorate-General for Human Resources Development in the Ministry of Education in Oman was (High). The degree of the appraisal System of the employees from the dimension of appraisal System was (Medium). Also, the results indicate that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between males and females in their estimations regarding the appraisal System of the employees in the Directorate-General for Human Resources Development in the Ministry of Education in Oman. However,
there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01)
between organizational trust and the appraisal System of the employees in the Directorate-General for Human Resources Development.
In the light of the findings of this study, some recommendations are given such as;
Reinforce the organizational Trust of the employees in the *
Directorate-General for Human Resources Development.
Raise the opportunities of creativity and innovation among the employees. *
Improve the administrative policies that have positive effect on appraisal System of the employees *
Involve the employees in setting the aims and the appraisal criteria.*
