English abstract
This study aimed at exploring the effect of PQ4R strategy on solving of mathematical
matter and creative thinking of ninth grade student.
The researcher prepared two tools for this study: a test to solving of mathematical matter
and test of creative thinking. The sample consisted of (54) students from the ninth- grade
student on basic education in one of the schools in Al Dakhliya Governorate and they were
divided in two groups: an experimental group and control group. The experimental group
consists of (27) students and studied using PQ4R strategy, the control group consists of (27)
students and studied same unite in the normal method.
The result of the study were:
- There is a statically significant difference at the level of significance (α = 0.05)
between the mean score of the experimental group and the mean score of the control group
on the solving of mathematical matter test for the favor of the experimental group students.
- There is a statically significant difference at the level of significance (α = 0.05)
between the mean score of the experimental group and the mean score of the control group
on the creative thinking test for the favor of the experimental group students.
In light of these results, the researcher recommends the need to activate the use of
PQ4R strategy in teaching of different algebra subjects and conducting similar research studies
to investigate the impact of using this strategy in other dependent variables.
