English abstract
This study aims to explore the relationship between human development and crime average in Sultanate of Oman. In order to achieve this study objectives, it is applied the historical protocol through descriptive, and analytical manner, where used to processes raw, formal data for both human development and crime.
This study includes two scales: the human development, which includes four subsidiary variables: life expectancy index, the education index, gross domestic product index and human development index. The second scale is the crime average and it includes three subsidiary variables: The crime total average, the average of crimes against people, and the average of crimes against possession.
The results of this study revealed a statistical differences between crime average related to regions variable in Oman Sultanate, there is a relationship between crime average and life expectancy index and the education index related to years of the study. Also, there is a weak relationship between the average of crimes against possession, and the average crime against people and the human development index related to years of study.
Finally, this study presented some recommendations which may help in taking care of the problem size.
